Filming With The Green Bay Packers & Titletown!

PSG’s partnership with the Green Bay Packers and their development, Titletown, Titletown Homes, and Titletown Flats has been an extensive project ranging from documentary series to 15 second social media ads. At the core of this project, PSG has aimed to showcase both visually and with extensive storytelling, producing more than 15 total interviews over a span of 5 production trips through all seasons. Yes, even winter in Green Bay.

5 things we learned about the Green Bay Packers and Titletown…

  1. The current wait time for season ticket holders is rumored to be hovering around 40 years…..

  2. Lambeau Field is the oldest continually operating NFL stadium, opening up for the first game in 1957.

  3. Lambeau Field can hold up to 81,441 spectators.

  4. Green Bay has an estimated 107,000 inhabitants.

  5. The Packers hold the record for NFL championships at 13, giving it the name “Titletown.”

3 Questions with Director, Ethan Lew

Q. What season has been the most fun to film in?

A. Believe it or not, I’d have to say winter. I’ve had the chance to visit Green Bay in each season, and while Summer’s a close second, winter in Green Bay really just hits that feeling I used to get watching the Packers play Sunday Night Football in December as a kid. More than the snow, it’s the cold that really gets to you. But it’s one of those collective things…. when you have thousands of people freezing by your side, it can’t be that bad. Plus, Green Bay really looks great in all white. The footage we captured in Winter was truly unique and challenging. Our Sony’s did pretty well considering it was below 5 degrees most of the trip! ❄️

Q. How has this production differed from other productions you’ve been a part of with Property Showcase Group?

A. The most notable difference I personally felt with this production vs. our others has been the amount of coordination it’s required. What I mean by that is the amount of people on all teams that have made a great effort to coordinate the trip, travel, production, permissions, access, interviews, distribution, and so on. We also had the opportunity to interview Mark Murphy, President of the Packers, which added an additional pressure too. He’s certainly a busy guy, and it’s one of those things where you either nail the interview the first time - the audio, questions, lighting and visuals, or you don’t get a second chance. I’d say we nailed it, given we had the chance to interview him on our return trip :)

Q. Where do you go from here?

A. Our work with the Packers has organically shifted from their Homes & Flats division, to the community itself. Partly because we hit a natural threshold on content for the homes, and also due to the fact that they’re nearly sold out. With that said, it’s looking like our team may be out there sooner than later to create additional ads and short films around the fall season and countless events that are going on in Titletown!
